A first test of the GeForce RTX 4080

The second Ada Lovelace graphics card to enter the arena quite significantly dominates the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 4080 will be available tomorrow. We will be allowed to give you our verdict on this second Ada Lovelace graphics card in a few hours. In the meantime, here is a first look at the performance of this reference, with a test from China taking the form of a video published on Bilibili and offered by a certain Big Hardware Player. The latter is a regular at these early reviews, since he had already been one of the first to publish for the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 4080 tested is with two BIOSes, one limiting its power to 320W (the default TGP), the other to 450W. The review reveals results in a few games, among them Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider or even Borderlands 3, as well as benchmark scores (3DMark). Big Hardware Player also illustrates the energy efficiency of the card. The performance of the RTX 4080 is compared to that of GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and GeForce RTX 4090. The three graphics cards collaborate with a processor Core i9-13900K.

NVIDIA will launch the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti as early as January 3
