Unhappy quarter-finalists of the last World Cup in Qatar (elimination on penalties against Croatia), Brazil have still not found their future coach.
The Brazilian football federation is still actively looking for the ideal profile to succeed Tite, who left just after the elimination of the last World Cup. Its president does not want to rush and gives himself a few more weeks of reflection to find the ideal coach. The boss of the CBF (Confederaçao Brasileira de Futebol) seems determined to entrust the position to an experienced foreign coach. Several names are still in competition.
The Ancelotti track relaunched
Ednaldo Rodrigues will soon travel to Europe for interviews with the latest targeted coaches. According to the Brazilian media, the latter would indeed have landed an interview with Carlo Ancelotti. The current Real Madrid manager seems happy in the Spanish capital and will be hard to convince. Winner of La Liga and the Champions League with the Merengue club last season, the Italian technician still has great ambitions for this 2022-23 financial year.

The other candidates
The Brazilian Ronaldo, current president of Vallodolid, has obviously offered his help to the Brazilian Federation to find the future coach of the Seleçao. At the beginning of January, the profile of Luis Enrique seemed to have a head start but this profile is not necessarily unanimous unlike others. In an ideal world, see Zinedine Zidane on the bench of the Seleçao would appeal to many Brazilians but the French technician obviously has other projects. Same observation for Pep Guardiola, who dreams of winning the Champions League with Manchester City before embarking on another adventure. José Mourinho (AS Roma), Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and Marcelo Gallardo were also surveyed. The next international window will take place in March.
