One of the key elements against Ghana in Madagascar’s first match at CHAN 2022, Olivier Tokinantenaina was instrumental in his team’s victory over the Black Galaxies.
It is therefore logical that the Malagasy midfielder was elected “Man of the Match”. Without dwelling on himself, he thinks that this victory is due to the collective performance of Barea A’.
“We prepared very well and we are happy to have played a great game of football against a quality team like Ghana. I’m happy to have won this award, but I think it’s only fair that I also give credit to my teammates, because I couldn’t have won without them. We were united, it was the result of teamwork”said the midfielder in comments relayed by Cafonline.
Oliver Tokinantenaina did not fail to mention possession of the ball, won by his team. For him, depriving Ghana of the ball was decisive.
“We kept the ball as much as possible because we knew they were dangerous when they had the ball. It certainly wasn’t easy, but we worked hard.”he concluded.
