Amadou Gallo Fall announces a first Nba pre-season match in Africa in the pipes

(Wiwsport) While Dwane Casey would like to play a game in Africa, the NBA could soon grant this wish as ESPN reveals that discussions are underway for Africa to host the first NBA preseason game in its history.

It was the president of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Amadou Gallo Fall who announced it to ESPN, and for him, it is an extension of the organization of the Africa Games in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

“It was always part of the plans” announces Amadou Gallo Fall, present in Paris for the Combine and the meeting between the Pistons and the Bulls. “At the reception of these Africa Games, the crowd was just incredible! I know it’s going to happen, and it’s in the plans. »

The idea is therefore no longer to organize a match with NBA stars but to bring two NBA franchises on site. “There is clearly the project to bring two NBA teams to the African continent, and of course, we will find ways to include the BAL in it” confirms the vice-president of the Basketball Africa League.

It remains to be seen where this meeting would take place since it is necessary to have a room approved by the NBA. So far, the three Africa Games have taken place in South Africa, in Johannesburg and then Pretoria.
