Australian Ambassador to Morocco, Micheal Cutts visits the Atlas Lionesses

The Australian Ambassador to Morocco, Micheal Cutts, visited the Atlas Lionesses at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

The purpose of this visit was to congratulate Ghizlane Chebbak’s teammates on their qualification for the 2023 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, from July 12 to August 12, 2023.

According to a press release from the FRMF, the diplomat welcomed the Moroccan delegation which will travel to Australia, while recalling that all logistical means will be mobilized for the Moroccan selection to sign on a new historic feat.

It should be noted that the draw for this cup had placed the Moroccan selection in group H with Germany, Colombia and South Korea.

Reynald Pedros’ women were able to claim this qualification for the first time, after finishing as African runners-up in July 2022.
