Belkin’s MagSafe support for desktop Macs is available

Released last October macOS Ventura makes it possible to use the camera of the iPhone as a webcam for the Mac, which most of the time offers a quality of image clearly superior to the small sensor integrated in the computers of Apple. To accompany this new software, Apple had teamed up with the props manufacturer Belkin, who launched a MagSafe-compatible iPhone stand that attaches above the screen of MacBooks: it is sold €34.95 on the Apple Store.

In December, Belkin finally presented a version for desktop Macs of its MagSafe support but it was only launched in the United States initially. The accessory is now available in France, at €44.95 on the Apple Store.

More complex than the small model for MacBook, this support can be adapted to much thicker devices such as iMacs or the Studio Display screen. Adjustable, it allows an adjustable angle up to 25° downwards. It is also compatible with 1/4″ screws, allowing it to be attached to any standard tripod.
