“Jimin exemplifies the spirit and the timeless singularity of Dior”, underlines a second post, when a last recalls that Kim Jones collaborates with BTS since 2019 for making their stage outfits.
A growth market
The South Korea represents a particularly buoyant market for the luxury market. Indeed, according to ReutersKorean consumers spend an average of $325 per year on luxury items, ranking first in the world for this type of expenditure.
No wonder then that Dior has been strengthening its presence there over the past few years, having organized its first fashion show in Seoul last year. On this occasion, Pietro Beccari, then boss of Christian Dior Couture, declared that the French house “was forging powerful new ties” with South Korea.
Finally, remember that several Korean personalities are already acting as ambassadors for Dior, such as Jisoo from BLACKPINK, Sehun from the EXO group and actor and model Nam Joo-Hyuk.
