Celebrations of the 325th anniversary of Trois-Pistoles: Grand show for the closing

The Antoine-Perreault ensemble, wind band, and the singer Louperivoise by adoption, Geneviève Roussel, had the mandate to put on the grandiose show. For the occasion, the performer from Trois-Pistoles was accompanied by 45 musicians from the region and high school, college and university students under the direction of Simon Dolbec. The public was treated to a varied program including French songs, notably those of Édith Piaf and Christmas songs to quietly get into the holiday spirit. It took several months for the board of directors, the corporation of heritage and religious tourism as well as the factory to organize the concert, which was crowned with great success. It was the last event of the year surrounding the festivities. The emotion was at its peak.

“It was big for me, it was an honor to be asked to come and do the 325th with a major orchestra like the Antoine-Perreault ensemble. Corsica which was a discovery for me, it was the chef who brought this proposal. Corsica which is a play in Corsica, so that’s what opened the second part. I think people were a little surprised, ”concludes singer Geneviève Roussel.
