
The directors of Even Mice Go to Heaven, Dénisa Grimmova and Jan Bebenicek are among the distinguished guests of FICAM 2023.
Thanks to the network of French Institutes in Morocco, FICAM will shine, as every year since 2004, on 11 cities of the Kingdom: Agadir, Casablanca, Fez, Essaouira, Kenitra, El Jadida, Marrakech, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan and Oujda. These cities will host, from March 3 to 12, 2023, a variation of the Meknes program with prestigious guests, including Michel Ocelot, a big name in international animation. The latter returns to Morocco with “The Pharaoh, the savage and the Princess”, a feature film with a tale inspired by Morocco.
He will also lead two master classes in Rabat and Marrakech. This cinematographic caravan will present other Moroccan exclusives: “The camel and the miller” (Iran), “Louise and the legend of the feathered serpent” (France), “Perlimps” (Brazil), “Little Nicolas, what what are we waiting for to be happy? (France) and “Leaving school” (France), a collection of short films combining poetry and animation. Among the other guests of FICAM Morocco 2023, Abdel de Bruxelles, author of Franco-Moroccan comics. The latter, a member of the Jury Courts Compet’ in Meknes, will present “Tangier sous larain”, a comic strip on Henri Matisse’s stay in Tangier.
