G-Shock renews itself and seizes metal for its brand new watch. Indeed, the watch brand unveiled its GMB-2100 Full Metal, a luxurious all-metal timepiece. A first for the Japanese firm, which until now has favored robust materials such as carbon fiber resin. If it uses metal this time, this new GBM-2100 loses none of its legendary robustness. Composed of a screwed case and a stainless steel bezel, it promises incredible shock resistance, with a depth index of 200 meters in water. High-precision molding techniques have also been used, allowing the creation of resin reinforcements that fit between the bezel and the case. Solar powered, the watch combines a traditional analog display with, modernity requires, a multitude of advanced digital features. You can therefore add up to five daily alarms, and an automatic time update via Smartphone Link synchronization by connection. Bluetooth via the G-Shock Connected app can be installed. A stopwatch and a countdown also make up the timepiece.
The GMB-2100 comes in silver for the price of $550, while the rose gold and black versions retail for $600. Its design, including the octagonal bezel and dimple strap, is a homage to the very first G-Shock launched in 1983, which was known for its clean, minimalist appearance.
The Full Metal GMB-2100 watch is now available for sale online on the official website of the brand and in stores.
