NVIDIA has not formalized the next GeForce RTX 4000, so speculation will be able to go well: Galax suspected of teasing on its packaging, and the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti expected to consume less energy.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has been on the market since January 5. Officially, NVIDIA has not detailed the rest of its projects; only after the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX4080 then RTX 4070 Ti, we are logically expecting the GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti. Here is new information about these two references: those for the first come from Galax, those for the second from the leaker Kopite7Kimi.
For the GeForce RTX 4070, images of two Galax graphics card packages, shared by VideoCardz, show the RTX 4070 logo on the front (RTX 4070 Ti on the side). Our colleague does not exclude an error by the graphic designer, but rather sees it as a voluntary teasing on the part of the brand, accustomed to this kind of “blunder”. For our part, we lean more towards a simple error, but everyone is free to form their own opinion. If you want something much more concrete about GeForce RTX 4070, alleged Founders Edition box leaked a few days ago. This reference would inherit an AD104-250 or AD104-251 GPU. It is not expected before the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The GeForce RTX 4080 adopts a new GPU
A 160 W TGP for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti?
On the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, serial leaker Kopite7Kimi backtracks on his old predictions to rectify the graphics card’s TGP. According to the latter, this reference will finally have a TGP of 160 W rather than 220 W.
For the rest, no change, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti should ship an AD106 GPU with 4352 CUDA cores and only 8 GB of GDDR6. One of you having asked us about this amount of VRAM, remember that it remains of course hypothetical at this stage, although inferred from AD106 GPU and mobile GeForce RTX 4000 specs.
