OM: Gerson’s father hopes for a quick outcome for a transfer to Flamengo
In an interview with the Brazilian media Barbaridade, Gerson’s father pushes for his son’s transfer to Flamengo to take place as soon as possible because the midfielder does not want to return to OM.
“The best thing that can happen to everyone is that Gerson returns to Flamengo, he says. If by chance they can’t understand each other, unfortunately we don’t have to do what we want to do. I won’t say that he wants to return to France. The athlete’s will is that the negotiation with Flamengo is settled and that he doesn’t even have to come back.”
OM: Longoria wants reinforcements to make up for Harit’s absence
Pablo Longoria, president of OM, held a long press conference on Wednesday during which he took stock of the first part of the season and discussed the hot issues of the next transfer window. He notably confided his desire to recruit a reinforcement to compensate for the long absence of Amine Harit.
“First of all, my thoughts are with Amine. He is doing better morally. It’s a blow for the club, he means a lot to the locker room. He’s someone we appreciate, for his level on the the field and off. If we sell Gerson and we lose Harit, and the tendency is that he misses the whole season, yes, we will take a new player in the next transfer window. It will become the priority for us to find a player offensive.”
AC Milan on pole for Aouar
According to information from Foot Mercato, confirmed by RMC Sport, AC Milan is the most pressing suitor to try to bring Houssem Aouar (24) next summer. The OL player, who has found more playing time since the arrival of Laurent Blanc, will then be free of any contract. However, Lyon did not lose hope of extending it. But the more time passes, the more the hypothesis of a new contract seems to move away. (F H)
