This week, the Smac Le Rio Grande multiplies these cultural and artistic actions by offering several events open to all audiences.
This Friday, a new session of the Dérives Sonores, (traveling and intimate concerts carried by Le Rio), is scheduled at the Memory Center of Montauban (La Roseraie park). It will host the guitar/piano duo Xibipíío, or the vibrant and resonant encounter of 170 strings between Betty Hovette & Nicolas Lafourest. Their committed, refined, weightless music, nourished by flashes and tensions, takes us into the depths of our being… Concert at 7 p.m., free admission. Reservation required as places are limited, only by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
This Saturday, as part of the 32nd edition of the Lettres d’Automne festival, Le Rio is offering musical breaks, friendly get-togethers at the heart of the festival. Meet at the Olympe de Gouges theater at 6:30 p.m. (free entry). The vintage pop duo Sweet Mayhem promises a nice musical moment, lively and sparkling, from jazz to pop rock via soul…
Saturday, to close this week, the Rio team offers a high-flying rap evening and hosts an artistic set from the new French scene: A2H, Jewel Usain and Europe. A beast of the stage and a seasoned musician, A2H has been stringing together solid projects for more than ten years and continues to assert its unique place on the French scene, driven by a protean talent, delivering music that touches on excellence and a flawless career. With his new album “A rose and a blade”, he achieves a perfect unfolding on both registers, song and rap. He will share the stage with Jewel Usain, an essential new wave artist who has been sharpening her flow and growing irresistibly since her first releases in 2011. Opening night with the rapper Europe. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., concert at 9 p.m. Prices from €16 to €20. Info about www.lerio.fr
