Four years after the triumphant Radiatesthe author, composer and performer from Reims is back with a new opus, By Your Side, expected on September 30. After unveiling a first single at the beginning of the summer, Jeanne Added unveiled a new track, Byeaccompanied by a double clip.
After beginnings as a jazz performer, Jeanne Added, originally from Reims, made her big debut in 2011 by opening for The Do and by releasing a first EP; she took off in 2015 with her first album, Be Sensational, and reached a form of consecration with his second album, Radiates (2018), which earned her the Victoires de la Musique for female artist and rock album of the year.
Jeanne Added had remained rather discreet since the release of her EP Air – eight titles – in 2020 and a thirty-minute short film (including Finnegan Oldfield, seen in the latest film by Michel Hazanavicius) who accompanied him. An EP on which Jeanne Added sang for the first time in French.
Two clips for the price of one
After unveiling a brand new title last June, the very pop hey boy, Jeanne Added is back today with a new extract from her new album, By Your Side, which will be available on September 30. Bye, the second piece of his repertoire to be entirely in French, is presented in an original form to say the least: two separate clips, with on the one hand a so-called expected (expected), and on the other hand a version unexpected (unexpected), more restrained.
Described by the artist as ” the last straight line to the album », the track seems clearly under the influence of the cold wave and noticeably recalls the last experiments of Christine and the Queenslike I finally see you excerpt from his new album Redcar the adorable stars, to be published a week earlier, on September 23.
By Your Side, album of twelve titles, was made with the producer Renaud Letang, collaborator ofAlain Souchon, Manu Chao, Katerine, Eddy Mitchell, Renaud and the Naive New Beaters. Jeanne Added will start a new tour in France this month which should last until March 2023, culminating in a concert at the Grand Rex (Paris) on October 20 (ticket office here). By Your Side is already available for pre-orderon CD and Vinyl.
