Liverpool want to react after the ‘worst game’ of the Klopp era

Present at a press conference ahead of Liverpool-Ajax for the second day of the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp returned to the rout of his team in Naples (4-1 defeat).

Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool coach, defeated last Tuesday in Naples (4-1) and who receives Ajax this Tuesday in the Champions League :

“We know we have to react. (…) I rewatched the match several times, it was really a horrible sight. (…) We showed the sequences to the players, they were aware but reviewing the images allows them to really be highlighted. (…) It was the worst game since I arrived here and yet we played some bad ones. (…) You have to understand what happened. I believe that the problem is at the individual level, because of the 11 starters, 8 were clearly below their usual level. In football, individual problems are solved as a team and that is what we are going to do. Everything is based on a very solid defense, that’s what we worked on.”
