Mercato: A Burundian is getting closer to Nice

Burundian midfielder Youssouf Ndayishimiye is about to join OGC Nice. The 24-year-old is currently undergoing his medical examination and should immediately join the Riviera club.

While OGC Nice is fighting body and soul to attract Terem Moffi to its ranks, the leaders are very close to welcoming the very first recruit of the winter transfer window. Indeed, according to information from our colleagues from the newspaper L’Équipe, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, a Burundian international (17 caps, 1 goal) is currently on the Côte d’Azur to undergo his medical examination.

Bought for 11 million euros (excluding bonuses) from Istanbul Basaksehir, the Burundian is an element capable of evolving in midfield or in central defense. Replacing Mario Lemina, who left for Wolverhampton, he will undoubtedly be of great importance for this second part of the season. If all goes well, Youssouf Ndayishimiye should join the Gym until 2027!
