Premier League side Leeds United are now close to sealing a move for the Angers midfielder Azzedine Ounahi.
Il Mattino today provided details on Napoli’s pursuit of the Moroccan midfielder, saying the Partenopei have been interested in the player for a long time. But they froze their move and interest in the midfielder once they realized an auction had opened up in the market for him.
Cristiano Guintoli is in no mood for an auction and so Leeds are close to sealing his move for the Angers star. They offered 25 million euros for the player and in Napoli’s case, Angers tried to keep changing the valuation using different intermediaries to come up with new demands.
Leeds’ offer exceeded that of everyone else, including Leicester City, who had offered €18million. But now it looks like the Whites have trumped all other parties and sealed the deal.
