Teamfight Tactics Patch 13.1b Release Notes

Our release capabilities were greatly impacted by an issue that prevented us from releasing Patch 13.2 in full. Since the release of patch 13.2 was out of the question, our team updated patch 13.1 instead and incorporated the bulk of the changes that patch 13.2 was supposed to contain.

The rest will be released in patch 13.3 or will be provided by additional patches while we wait for our team to return to full capacity. That being said, there’s a lot left for you to see in these patch notes, so let’s get right into the nitty-gritty.

KINDS

Currently, the type Aegis is mostly used for its very powerful late-game units (notably Leona and Ekko). We’re beefing up the Aegis late-game tiers so that weaker units (like Vi) can stay (and even get even better) value against high-magic damage comps.

No, the changes we made to the 8 bonus Brawlers will not revive this vertical composition from its ashes.

We’re relieved to still be able to nerf the type sniper. Indeed, the 2 Snipers bonus is far too effective in late game compositions capable of delaying fights with powerful front lines relying on the increasing damage of this type.

Despite changes made in patch 13.1 to encourage players to give Aphelios items and use his Infernum (blue) and Severum (red) weapons, his Gravitum (purple) weapon remains the default choice thanks to its utility side. So we are strengthening the identity of his weapons again and we are once again reducing the damage and the ratios of Gravitum, while increasing the ratios of Infernum and the base damage of Infernum and Severum. It’s time to make our moon boy smile again by gifting him a sword (or three) and bringing out Infernum and Severum.

OPTIMIZATIONS

cruel pact is a complicated optimization to balance. So when she’s overpowered (like now), we need to nerf her carefully. The creator of Cruel Pact, the great Kent Wu, recommended that we nerf it by granting it to multiple players as soon as it was granted to at least one of them. We’re not that sadistic, so we decided to lower the healing given to the Tactician instead. This makes leveling up early in the game more risky and for longer.

We’re adjusting some of our Light and Portable Forge items, including adding mana and critical chance to the infinity forcewhich previously did not have these stats.
