Moulay Rachid chairs a dinner offered by HM the King

On his arrival at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid reviewed a detachment of Auxiliary Forces which paid the honours, before being greeted by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mrs. Nadia Fettah, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Mrs. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, and by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was also greeted by the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, governor of the prefecture of Marrakech, Mr. Karim Kassi-Lahlou, the president of the Council of the Marrakech-Safi region, Mr. Samir Goudar, the President of the Commune of Marrakech, Mrs. Fatima-Ezzahra El Mansouri, the President of the Prefectural Council of Marrakech, Mrs. Jamila Afif, and by the President of the Council of the Mechouar-Kasbah Commune, Mr. Abderrahmane Ouafa.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was also greeted by the deputy vice-president of the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, Mr. Faïçal Laraïchi, the adviser to the President of the Festival, Mrs. Mélita Toscan Du Plantier, the artistic director of the Festival, Mr. Rémi Bonhomme, the financial adviser to the President within the Foundation of the International Film Festival of Marrakech, Mr. Azeddine Benmoussa, the general secretary of the Festival, Mrs. Fadwa Megzari, the general treasurer, Mr. Naoufel Mohamed Bensouda, and the general coordinator of the Festival, Mr. Ali Hajji.

Subsequently, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid went to the Salon d’honneur where the jury, foreign stars and foreign and national partners were presented to His Royal Highness.

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 19th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival was opened on Friday evening at the Palais des Congrès in the Ocher City, in the presence of a gathering of stars of the 7th National Art and international and eminent figures and personalities from the worlds of culture, media and the arts.
