The opening ceremony of this training, which is part of the activation of the “Regions 2021” project, took place in the presence of the President of the Association of Regions of Morocco, Mbarka Bouaida, the President of the Council of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Omar Moro, the vice-president of the Occitanie region, Nadia Pellefigue, and the director of the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories, Philippe Meunier, indicates a press release of the Regional Council.
This training session is intended for members of regional councils, directors general of services in the regions and directors of regional project executing agencies. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Moro underlined that the regional council is considering the elaboration of a regional development program, which contains realistic and pragmatic projects within the limits of the capacities and skills available, to achieve a development sustainable, global and integrated for the entire territory of the region, in complementarity with the other regions of the Kingdom for a prosperous and inclusive Morocco.
He recalled that the Council organized a national forum on “investment, training and employment”, which resulted in around 50 recommendations, and visited the eight provinces of the region to present these recommendations. and be attentive to the expectations and aspirations of the inhabitants, able to set up concrete projects serving the general interest of the region.
