In a recent statement, Ifeanyi Udeze spoke about Nigeria’s men’s and women’s teams. The former Super Eagle has slammed Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum, who has a dual role.
Ifeanyi Udeze strongly disagrees with Randy Waldrum. He did not go overboard before denouncing what he describes as “lack of respect” vis-à-vis the 65-year-old’s Nigerian women’s team. Ifeanyi Udeze particularly criticizes Randy Waldrum for his accumulation of positions. Indeed, the American is in charge of both the Super Falcons and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers women’s football team in the United States. Which is not to the taste of Ifeanyi Udeze.
As long as Randy Waldrum is working two jobs and actually sees the Super Falcons job as his hustle, he won’t be the ideal coach for the Nigeria women’s national team. We need a coach who will take the Falcons as his main and only job,” he said on Brila FM. The former Super Eagles defender, now 42, also criticized Super Eagles coaches who live abroad and only return when games approach.
