Nothing has started teasing the launch of its upcoming wireless headphones, the Nothing ear (Stick). The brand has already unveiled the design of their tubular case.
Even before the Nothing phone (1), it was with headphones that Nothing, the British manufacturer founded by the former boss of OnePlus, Carl Pei, launched. In the summer of 2021, the firm launched its Nothing ear (1). It seems, however, that Nothing is not done with the audio domain. On Twitter, the brand confirmed that it is working on new wireless headphones.
It was in a publication on Twitter that Nothing unveiled a first teaser of its Nothing ear (Stick), headphones that seem to be different from the first ear (1) in particular with a very different case.

“Ear (Stick). Supremely comfortable. Exquisitely unique. Revealed exclusively at Chet Lo’s Spring Summer 2023 show“, indicates the mark in the publication on the social network. The show in question took place during London Fashion Week on Tuesday, September 20. The case of the headphones was thus able to directly integrate one of the couturier’s pieces.
However, this is not the first time that we have heard of the Nothing ear (Stick). At the end of June, the British manufacturer’s headphones had already leaked by leaker SnoopyTech. We could then see the case from the front with the headphones hidden behind a transparent cover. If the headphones kept, at first sight, the transparent aspect of the stems of the Nothing ear (1), they however seemed to sport a different design.
Headphones in an open format, without noise reduction
Indeed, unlike the firm’s first headphones, the Nothing ear (Stick) would not be in-ear headphones, but open-format headphones, like the AirPods 3 from Apple. They should therefore not be equipped with silicone tips entering the ear canal, but with loudspeakers positioned in front of the entrance to the ear canal. They wouldn’t ship active noise reduction either.
As a reminder, the Nothing ear (1) had seduced last year in particular because of their very good value for money. Sold for less than 100 euros, they offered sound and noise reduction that were convincing enough to satisfy most users. A value for money that seems to be the leitmotif of Nothing since its launch, since the Nothing phone had managed to distinguish itself not only thanks to its design, but also to its aggressive positioning.
For now, we still don’t know when and at what price the brand’s new Nothing ear (Stick) headphones will be officially launched.
