By Stephane Davy. On the sidelines of Quinté Book Cabinet Prizethree Groups IIII will be featured at the meeting scheduled for Saturday in Chantilly.
In the Conde Prize (Gr.III – 2nd race – 2:33 p.m.), six of the eight 2-year-olds in the ranks remain on a victory. To start with PRECIOUS SEA (208), the only filly at the start, and pleasant winner of her two public outings, at La Teste. She will, however, pass a serious test against VICTORIA ROAD (207) and DUKE OF MORNY (202)respectively posted 1st and 4th in a richly endowed Listed, this summer in Deauville.
A little less than two hours later, in the Bertrand de Tarragon Prize (Gr.III – 5th race – 4:25 p.m.), the British MRS FITZHERBERT (505)Listed-race winner, at the end of April at Goodwood, constitutes a serious rival for KENNELLA (501)who has just finished 3rd in a similar event, the Prix Quincey (Gr.III), over the Deauville mile and for JUPYRA (504), second in the Prix de Flore (Gr.III), at the same time last year and to be credited with an encouraging return race, last month at Deauville, over longer distances.
They will then be eleven 2-year-olds to compete in the Eclipse Price (Gr.III – 6th race – 5:00 p.m.). Experienced, and supported by betting on the occasion of his debut on our soil, in the Prix de la Vallée d’Auge (Listed), at the beginning of August in Deauville, a race which he had animated before giving up, the Englishman EDDIE’S BOY (602) returns to France with pretensions. He seems able to respond to MANHATTAN JUNGLE (608-picture), jokes 2nd in the Prix de Cabourg, where she dominated three of her rivals of the day, AXDALIVA (609) and to LOVA (610) respectively displayed 4th and 6th in the Prix du Calvados (Gr.II), last month.
