The verdict has just fallen in the afternoon of this Monday, September 19, 2022. The CAF interclub committee has decided that the match between Djoliba AC and DC Mongomo will be played today at 4 p.m. GMT at the Stade du 26 Mars de Bamako. It is in the account of the second leg of the first preliminary round of the Champions League.
The meeting was supposed to take place yesterday Sunday September 18, 2022, but due to the absence of DC Mongomo, it has been postponed. According to several sources, the Equatorial Guinean club could not land at Modibo Keita International Airport in Bamako due to new airport restrictions adopted by Mali. Finally, the DC Mongomo delegation set foot on Malian soil, but very late at night.
In the meantime, Djoliba AC and the officials who were present at the stadium had to go to the locker room. The commissioner of the match, the Bissau Guinean, Gregorio Badupa made a report to the Interclub Committee of CAF, which decided that the match be played on Monday. The two clubs will rub shoulders in a few hours at the Stade du 26 Mars at 4 p.m. GMT. Djoliba AC has two goals to score before hoping for qualification.
