Princess Lalla Meryem received, on Thursday in Rabat, Deborah F. Rutter, President of the “John Fitzgerald Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts”, accompanied by Natalia Cobo De Bulgheroni, President of its International Committee.
The two American cultural personalities are visiting the Kingdom to attend the award ceremony for the major international “Arts Gold Medals” prizes, scheduled for Marrakech on Monday, January 23.
Organized by the Kennedy Center, this ceremony will be an opportunity to award gold medals to Moroccan artistic personalities in recognition of their efforts and their contributions to the arts on a global scale.
The Kennedy Center, which opened in 1971, is considered the national cultural center of the United States. It also grants an important place to foreign productions within the framework of its artistic programming.
Located in Washington DC, the “Kennedy Center” is the result of a public-private partnership and has units dedicated to arts education, with the mission of encouraging the development of the arts, as well as cultural exchanges between United States and the rest of the world.
