Luis Campos made a turn in PSG recruitment strategy. The Portuguese leader aims to recruit promising players, in order to reduce expenses and balance the budget of the Parisian club. Andrey Santos would notably appear on his shortlist to improve the midfield.
18-year-old Andrey Santos defends the colors of Vasco de Gama, in Brazilian D2. The Rio de Janeiro native was trained at the club and has 26 appearances and 5 goals this season in all competitions. His contract only runs until August 2023, which will allow him to negotiate with his courtiers in March.
Three other clubs on the move
According to information provided by The 10 Sportwhich were confirmed by Inews, PSG is in the list of courtiers of the young Brazilian. Luis Campos would see in him a player likely to advance the midfield of Christophe Galtier’s team in the coming years. However, the Parisian club is not the only one interested in his situation: Aston Villa, Newcastle and FC Barcelona have also advanced their pawns to secure his services. The Magpies would in particular be very motivated: they would be keen to develop their link with Brazil, in order to obtain the signatures of future cracks from the Auriverde selection.
As a reminder, PSG has already recruited Vitinha, Hugo Ekitiké, Nordi Mukiele, Renato Sanches, Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler, during the summer transfer window. Its leaders would also an eye on Warmed Omari, who plays at Stade Rennais and could complete the defensive squad. His signature would compensate for the hiccup in the Milan Skriniar file, which ultimately remained at Inter Milan.
