The noise had been circulating for a few days, it is now official. Raja Casablanca announced this Wednesday, September 21, the divorce with the Tunisian technician, Faouzi Benzarti.
The decision came after a long meeting that same day between the club’s president, Aziz El Badraoui, and the “old man”, during which the boss of the Greens tried to convince the coach to give up his decision to leave “for personal reasons”, but the latter stuck to his position.
The two parties finally decided to separate “amicably”, after a balance sheet “below” expectations. Raja is indeed 11th in the Botola Pro D1 Inwi standings, with 2 small points (two draws at home and one loss away).
Speculation is rife on the name of Benzarti’s successor, although rumors have persisted on the side of another Tunisian, Mondher Kebaier, former coach of the Carthage Eagles.
Pending confirmation from the Greens, we can already say that with the departure of Benzarti, Raja will have already consumed two coaches, Rachid Taoussi and Faouzi Benzarti, since the advent of Aziz El Badraoui.
