Real, on a winning streak, wins the Madrid derby (1-2)

Sunday evening, Real, during a match where the tension was omnipresent and palpable with each contact, offered its ninth victory in nine matches.

Emotionally, this ninth is the most impactful. It was against the other Madrid club, Atletico, who played at home. The speed of Vinicius and Rodrygo made the difference

More realistic, with an excellent goalkeeper, Real scored his two goals following counterattacks, leaving Courtois to sweep away the opponent’s attacks.

The first goal was scored by Rodrygo following a job started by Valverde. This is his third in La Liga this season. Valverde scored the second concluding a move initiated by Modric.

Reducing the score was Hermoso’s achievement from a corner kick taken by Griezmann. Hermoso was going to be expelled at the end of the match for accumulation of two yellows.

Real won the derby and regained the lead in the standings temporarily ceded to Barça.
