the Moroccan selection wins 9 medals, including 2 gold

The Moroccan boxing selection won 9 medals (2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze) during the African championships organized from September 9 to 18 in the Mozambican capital, Maputo.

The precious metal was removed by Hamza El Barbari (minus 71 kg) and the vice-world champion, Khadija El Mardi (plus 81 kg).

The five silver medals were won by Chaimae Ghadi (60 kg), Rababe Chedar (50 kg), Said Mourtaji (51 kg), Idriss Reroumi (75 kg) and Mohamed Sghir (80 kg).

The other two bronze medals were won by Widad Bertal (57 kg) and Abdelhak Nadir (63.5 kg).

These games saw the participation of 24 countries, including Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Mozambique, Senegal, Gambia, DR Congo, Guinea, South Africa, Mali, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, Central African Republic, Cape Verde and Sierra Leone.
