The Porsche 911 (996), 25 years old already!

Porsche uses this series of photos to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 911 Type 996, a car first unveiled to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In 1997, Porsche unveiled the 911 type 996, a new generation which adopted water cooling and now shared a large number of parts with the Boxster type 986. As often, the German manufacturer subsequently offered several versions, from the Turbo (2000) to the Cabriolet (1998), via the GT3 (1999), to which was added the emblematic Porsche 911 GT1 in its road-legal version (about 20 units).
