The next-gen patch, planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will be available on December 14.
According to studio CD Projekt RED, this new update for The Witcher 3 “will feature dozens of visual, performance, and technical improvements over the original. These include support for ray tracing, better loading times on consoles, and a variety of mods integrated into the experience..”
The update will be free and available to all owners of the game on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. “Full” digital versions (with Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions) on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be available. also available for all those who do not yet own the game. The physical version will be offered later.
Players who do not own a next-gen console will not be forgotten. CD Projekt RED also announces some welcome new features: “The PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also receive an update with many additions and improvements, as well as additional content based on the Netflix series The Witcher.”
