We are all Cyrano! Cyrano loves Roxane but doesn’t dare tell her because he feels too ugly. Christian loves Roxane but doesn’t dare tell her because he feels too stupid. Cyrano lends his mind to Christian to concretize his love through him. Roxane loves Christian but will unknowingly fall in love with Cyrano’s spirit. What if Cyrano wasn’t really ugly? And if his ugliness was only the vision he has of himself? Cyrano touches us because he is deeply human. We share his dreams but also his imperfections.
Driven by the love of this text, the company “Les Moutons noirs” pays homage to Edmond Rostand’s masterpiece while adding its touch and its madness. “Getting together around this piece is to invite the viewer to reflect together on these differences, which are an integral part of our identities”.
