Tribute to Marc Moulin in Radio Caroline

Musician pioneer, innovative radio man, visionary pamphleteer and always incredibly modern, Marc Moulin would have been 80 years old last August, and next September, it will be 15 years since he left us. Olivier Monssens, who knew him well, devotes two specials to him on his show radio carolina on Classic 21, Saturdays January 21 and 28, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., then as a podcast on the apps & replay on Auvio.

Precursor of electronic pop with his Telex trio, brilliant jazzman before that and discreet accomplice of the best Chamfort long after (in addition to producing and composing hits for Lio), Mark Moulin was also, in Belgium, the producer and presenter of cult radio programs often ahead of what was listened to elsewhere on the continent: Cape by night, King Kong, Radio Cité. The man was also the author of tasty exhaustions on the political and societal excesses of our world, on the airwaves in Hell’s Week on La 1ère or, in writing, in one or the other visionary essay and via its Humor published in Moustique, without forgetting, in a more relaxed way, his plays.

His many parallel lives hardly console those who reveled in his demise for his demise. productions during his life, as for those who missed it, they lose nothing by waiting thanks to this story in two episodes full of delightful archives like so many bubbles of happiness…
